We will forget you.

We are moving again,
but you are not.

We will get home tonight.
You will not.

When we awake tomorrow
and continue through a mundane day,
you will continue to sleep
beyond the boundaries of daily drear.

For a few hours our lives crossed tracks,
on the tracks.
We were with you at your weakest moment,
in your bravest second.

And now that you are gone,
we will forget you.
